Loopwheels Urban deliver unmatched comfort, performance, and control for wheelchair users. The integrated carbon springs absorb bumps, shocks, and vibrations, smoothing every ride while protecting your arms and shoulders. Strong, durable, and built for everyday use, these wheels handle pavements, parks, and off-road terrain with ease.
Each wheel uses three carbon loops that act as a self-correcting system. The loops constantly adjust to uneven surfaces, letting the hub float within the rim. This design also makes kerb climbs easier. Unlike standard spoked wheels, Loopwheels Urban flex slightly, allowing controlled sideways movement. While you trade some rigidity, you gain a dramatic increase in comfort.
Handcrafted in Nottinghamshire, UK, the carbon composite springs undergo careful testing to deliver optimal compression, lateral stability, strength, and resilience. Each wheel weighs just 1.36 kg and reduces vibration up to 109% more than a Spinergy Day wheel. They also feature improved lateral stiffness, solving issues present in the original Loopwheel Classics.
Loopwheels Urban fit most manual wheelchairs with standard quick-release axles. Riders from 35 kg to 120 kg (user plus wheelchair) can choose from three spring rates—Soft, Regular, or Stiff—for a personalised ride. Lighter users may benefit from the softer-sprung version.
The wheels come in a minimalist black carbon finish, with optional upgrades to anodised hubs and rim hinges in purple, red, or blue. You can also choose handrim and tyre packages, including Carbolife Curve and Gekko handrims.
