WHY THERAPLAY?
Theraplay was the first manufacturer of cycles for children with special needs. Theraplay believe that everyone should get the opportunity to enjoy the thrill of cycling. The key design concept being a trike that can be changed in size and specification as the needs of the rider change, allowing for a cycle tailored to the rider without the need for costly custom-made items.

UNIQUE FRAME DESIGN
Theraplays unique frame design allows the seat position and foot pedals to be altered and handlebars adjusted for a comfortable well supported seating position. If extra support is needed a range of interchangeable positioning accessories are available.

How do i arrange an assesment?

What happens during an assesment?
Our friendly assessor will arrange to come to your home, school or health center, whichever is convenient for you. You'll get a chance to try the trikes and discuss suitable options. If you have a physiotherapist or occupational therapist involved in your care it may be beneficial for them to be in attendence to provide imparial advice. Its also important if you are seeking to apply for funding assistance through charities.
How long does an assessment take?
An assesment can take from 40 minutes to 1 1/2 hours depending on the complexity of the cycle.
Will I have to pay VAT?
VAT is not charged on Theraplay trikes as they are designed solely for disabled people for their personal use.
Most accessory items are VAT exempt, however rain covers and light sets are not.
How long until I recieve my trike?
As they are made to order, Theraplay trikes can take up to 12 weeks to arrive.
Are Theraplay trikes easy to pedal?
Yes, Theraplay have a unique dual axle system which reduces resistance in the rear wheels. Combine this with the adaptable gearing system and a Theraplay trike can be enjoyed by riders of all ability's.
