This creates a stable seating position that promotes comfort, balance, and functional independence.
The cushion suits people who require increased thigh, pelvic, and abductor support. It also benefits users with moderate to severe postural asymmetries, pelvic instability, or changing seating requirements. The adjustable design helps clinicians create a personalised seating solution that adapts as clinical needs evolve.
The contoured seating surface supports the pelvis and lower limbs in a stable position. Deep leg troughs encourage improved femoral alignment while helping to maintain pelvic stability throughout the day. Clinicians can adjust the internal components during an assessment to fine-tune positioning and achieve the best possible fit.
Pressure-optimised foam spreads pressure evenly beneath the pelvis. This helps reduce peak pressure over vulnerable areas and supports users who spend extended periods in their wheelchair. A rear relief channel reduces pressure beneath the coccyx, while a moisture-resistant inner liner protects the cushion and improves durability.
The Vario Elevate Cushion also allows clinicians to accommodate leg length differences and postural obliquity. They can selectively elevate one or both thighs to improve pelvic levelling and help manage rotational or asymmetrical postures. Depending on the user’s needs, they can configure the cushion to support either an anterior or neutral pelvic position.
