The Vario Summit Cushion provides advanced postural support, pelvic stability, and pressure redistribution for wheelchair users with complex seating needs. Its super-high contour design delivers deep pelvic immersion and secure lower limb support. This helps users maintain a safe, stable, and comfortable seating position throughout the day.
The cushion is ideal for people who need increased pelvic and hip stabilisation. It also supports users with high muscle tone, extensor patterns, involuntary movements, or complex postural asymmetries. The structured design helps improve posture while reducing unwanted movement.
Deep medial and lateral thigh contours guide the lower limbs into a stable position. The high-contour seating surface supports the pelvis and limits forward sliding with its anti-thrust design. This encourages better sitting balance and greater confidence during everyday activities.
Pressure-optimised foam spreads pressure evenly beneath the pelvis and ischial areas. This reduces peak pressure over vulnerable areas and supports skin protection during prolonged sitting. A lower rear profile improves pelvic belt positioning and enhances pelvic control.
The Vario Summit Cushion adapts to a wide range of clinical needs. Clinicians can configure the cushion to accommodate leg length differences, pelvic obliquity, and pelvic rotation. They can also selectively elevate one or both thighs to improve pelvic levelling and provide additional pre-ischial support.
The durable multi-density foam maintains its shape over time, delivering consistent support every day. The high-containment design reduces the need for additional external thigh or medial supports, while an internal protective liner improves durability and helps protect against moisture.
The Vario Summit Cushion is available in standard sizes from 11″ x 12″ to 18″ x 20″, with custom sizes available on request.
