The SmartDrive MX2+ from Permobil, is a market leading lightweight power assist for manual wheelchairs. Weighing only 12.5lbs(5.7kg) the SmartDrive is compact and easy to install, it simply attaches to the back of the chair and off you go! and its just as easy to detach making it perfect for travelling and transportation.
Its so compact, it will hardly alter the footprint of your chair, making maneuvering in and out of small spaces a breeze-you'll hardly notice its there.
The SmartDrive works with a simple tap of your hand on the PushTracker wristband- tap and it will push you forwards whilst you steer. There are also alternative controls available which include the SwitchControl which once engaged will give you a burst of power or consistent power for longer journeys or help up hills. There's also a SpeedControl Dial which is attaches to the front of your chair allowing you to control your SmartDrives speed, stop and start with the turn of a dial.
There's also an App which you can use on Apple or Andriod smart watch* with activity tracking technology to help promote optimal mobility health and which enables you to customise your SmartDrive.
With a range of 12.3 miles, and speed of 4mph, the SmartDrive is able to take on hills, ramps, thick carpet and anywhere you need a little more help to push.
The SmartDrive can be fitted to almost any rigid or folding manual wheelchair for users up to 150kg users including standing chairs and tilt in space.
*SmartDrive MX2+ App for Apple Watch is compatible with Apple Watches Series 5 and newer running watch OS 8 or newer.
