REHASENSE PAWS POWER ADD-ON

Introducing PAWS, the industry leading wheelchair power add-on by Rehasense. Designed and produced by leading engineers, ergonomists and therapists, the PAWS- Power Assisted Wheelchair System- is the most convenient, comfortable and user friendly power add-on on the market. Compatible with most folding or rigid wheelchairs, The PAWS requires no additional add-ons or frame alteration to your wheelchair-simply clamp and go!

All models are available with manual or automatic clamp. The innovative AUTO CLAMP and AUTO LIFT make the docking and lifting process extremely user friendly, even being possible with reduced finger and hand functions or limited body strength.

Tetra controls are also available across the models. Tetra controls are a revolutionary system developed to enable users with missing or limited hand function to operate power add ons safely and independently.

Especially beneficial for quadriplegic and tetraplegic users, the PAWS has an extensive range of easy to use settings to adjust the height and depth of the handlebars to ensure  an optimum position for individual user comfort.

The display is mounted on the handlebar and can also be adjusted to preferred position. The clear LED screen displays speed, travel distance, battery status and activated advanced control mode. Brightness of the screen is automatically adaptive to the amount of ambient light and there is a powerful headlamp which can turn on automatically in low light.

There are several advanced control modes: Walking mode which sets the speed to a constant 4kmh, Cruise mode which maintains your speed without holding the throttle and Traction mode for extra stability when grip is reduced.

Each model uses a standard lithium ion 24v battery which takes just 5 hours to fully charge. On a full charge you can reach up to 40km, (24 miles), (depending on model, terrain and user weight.) An airline friendly battery is also available so you can take your travels even further.

All PAWS have an IP54 waterproof rating  so can be used in puddles and rain.

Available in 3 models, CITY, CRUISER and TOURER, each developed for different types of terrain and many different configurations to ensure you get the right PAWS for your lifestyle.

CITY- Designed primarily for towns and cities, the CITY performs best on hard, even ground such as shopping malls and pavements, but will also do well over uneven pavements and curbs. The city has a small turning circle of just 1 meter so is also perfect for manoeuvring in tight indoor spaces. Available in two wheel sizes, 12" and 14" , manual or automatic clamp and standard or tetra controls.

CRUISER- The CRUISER is the perfect choice is your looking to use your PAWS for trips around town but also travel along terrain that's a little more challenging such as forest trails. The 16" wheel will easily travel over bumps for a comfortable, easy ride. Available in manual or automatic clamp and standard or tetra controls.

TOURER- Especially designed for off-road use, the TOURER is designed to take you where other wheelchairs and add-ons can't. The 20" wheel will travel effortlessly over cobblestones, sand and gravel, allowing you to embark on your adventures with confidence. The TOURERS long wheelbase also helps to provide a smooth, exceptionally stable ride. Pair with Crazy Bob Fat Wheels and there will be no stopping you!                   Available in manual or automatic clamp and standard or tetra controls.
